We officially started our new homeschool year this week. This school year I will be teaching, two 9th graders (my twin boys with special needs who will be doing work that is K-2), a 5th grader, a 2nd grader, and a preschooler who pretty much runs things 🙂 The boys picked out their own clothes for pictures so I guess I will be waiting until our official family picture day to have a photo of them in something besides t shirts.

Sean, 9th grade
I have high hopes for this school year. Last year was a tough year for our family (there were some marriage issues but we made it through, we lost my stepfather to cancer, my mother had a stroke, and a myriad of other things seemed to arise throughout the year that made teaching not just challenging but some days downright difficult. Just as in marriages, difficult years happen, and so while we made it through, this year I am looking forward to a homeschool year where we all don’t just survive, but thrive. Looking at these smiles, I am all the more motivated to leave those difficult days of last year in the dust and move forward into our 6th year of homeschooling (our first year doing actual Waldorf curriculum and not just Waldorf inspired) and all the magic that can bring.
Wishing you a wonderful new year in your homeschool,
